SEVEN DEAD - THE "LOST" DEBUT

Back in the summer of 2010, Joe Holweger and Merlin Matthews started writing under the name Seven Dead. Within 4 months, in a creative whirlwind, an entire 14-track album had been composed, recorded, mixed and mastered.

However, the eponymous Seven Dead album didn’t see the light of day, due to the pair’s demanding touring/studio commitments as session musicians. Alas, the album was never officially released.

Until now.

Recorded at the legendary Earth Terminal studios, in single live takes, straight to tape using only analogue gear, the album has a timeless sound cast across a collection of songs dealing with dark subject matter such as loss, lust, addiction and urban solitude.

Seven Dead reconvened in 2022 to release 5 singles to such critical acclaim that it was only a matter of time before the elusive “lost” debut was found …
